Chalets Lacuzon
Welcome to the Apartments!
Which chalet to choose in the 3 Valleys for a group?
Travelling with family or friends to the 3 Valleys and not sure which chalet would suit everyone best?
As a rule, one spacious chalet works better than several separate places: you’re all together, you can enjoy the hot tub or the fireplace at the same time, and no one ends up stuck on the other side of the resort.
The right chalet is simply the one whose bedrooms, space and location match the kind of stay you have in mind.
How many will you be?
Before you start looking at chalets, it helps to know how many you’ll be and how you’ll split up. A group of friends doesn’t have the same needs as a multi-generational family with young children.
- 12 to 14 people, friends or family: a 6-bedroom chalet is plenty, with one bedroom per couple or small family.
- 14 people, with children: a 6-7 bedroom chalet lets you set a bedroom aside for them — handy for naps or different bedtimes.
- 15 people or more, several generations together: an 8-bedroom chalet gives everyone their own space, with their own bathroom.
One chalet for everyone, rather than several separate places
Many families and groups of friends hesitate between one large chalet and several flats booked side by side.
What really makes the difference, in our view: in a single chalet, you cook together, you enjoy the hot tub in the evening, the children are never far from their parents, and you only have one booking to manage.
It’s often simpler on the budget too, without cleaning fees multiplied across several properties. Whether it’s a week with friends or a big family get-together, one chalet remains the most enjoyable option day to day.
What really matters when there are a lot of you
Beyond the number of bedrooms, a few details make all the difference for a group stay:
- An en-suite bathroom for every bedroom, so mornings don’t turn into a queue outside the door.
- A living room with a fireplace and a dining room where everyone fits round the table at the same time.
- A private hot tub and sauna, perfect for unwinding together after skiing.
- Enough raclette and fondue sets so you don’t need two sittings.
- Easy access to the slopes, so everyone can get back to the chalet at their own pace, whether they’re confident skiers or beginners.
Where to stay in the 3 Valleys when there are several of you
The hamlet of Le Bettaix, at the foot of Les Menuires, is particularly convenient for family or group stays: access is flat and easy, even with children, and the 4-seater chairlift just 150 metres away reaches the 3 Valleys ski area (Les Menuires, Val Thorens, Méribel, Courchevel) in a few minutes. You can ski gently back down almost to the chalet on a blue run — handy when not everyone skis at the same level.
At Chalets Lacuzon, we have several layouts to suit your group comfortably. All our chalets are in Le Bettaix, close to the chairlift, with a private hot tub and sauna — find out which one suits you best in our article Best Chalets with a Hot Tub in Les Menuires.
We’re Katia and Cédric, and we know these group stays well — do get in touch, we’d be happy to help you find the chalet that suits you.
